The Buddhist Library proudly presents AÑJASA- Unravel the Wonders of Buddhist Monuments

A Dance Theatre Production by Apsaras Arts

Añjasa- Unravel the Wonders of Buddhist Monuments presented by the Buddhist Library, came to a close on 23 Jan 2015. This dance theatre production by Apsaras Arts introduced the seven well known Buddhist Monuments in Asia through carefully choreographed Classical Indian Dance, depicting the history and philosophy of Buddhism. Through sleek dance movements, stage effects and English poetry, Añjasa brought audiences back to the time of the Buddha where they personally experienced the different historical scenes. Bhante Dhammaratana advised audiences in his opening speech to view the performance as if they were on a pilgrimage to get the best experience out of the show.

The Buddhist Library’s objective in presenting this dance production was to promote multi-racial cultures and to propagate Dharma using Arts. Sanghas and Buddhist organisations such as Maha Bodhi Primary School, Manjusri Secondary School and Green Haven (Buddhist Halfway House) were invited to the show. Buddhist Library hopes to outreach to these Buddhist organisations through this event.

Añjasa- Unravel the Wonders of Buddhist Monuments ended its last performance in Singapore on 24 Jan 2015. The Guest of Honor for the night was Minister for National Development Mr. Khaw Boon Wan. The President of Buddhist Library and Bhante Dhammaratana was also invited as VIP. After the curtain call, Mr. Khaw Boon Wan presented a token of appreciation from Apsaras Arts to the Buddhist Library for its effort in promoting multi-racial cultures.
