About this Programme

The Buddhist Library celebrates Dhamma Day every year, marking the day when the Lord Buddha gave his first sermon to the five ascetics at the Deer Park in Sarnath, India. This day is considered a time to express gratitude for the Buddha’s teachings, which offer humanity a way to release from themselves from their bonds.

The Buddhist Library’s “Dhamma Day 2026” activities will have both English- and Chinese-language programmes. Both will feature chanting of the Dhammacakkappavattanasutta and dhamma talks by the Sangha. You can also make offerings of candles or/and flowers, please fill up the reply slip here to do so: Word version Reply Slip | PDF version Reply Slip
