Guest of Honour: Associate Professor Fatimah Lateef, MP of Marine Parade GRC

Assoc Prof Fatimah Lateef received her education at the Convent of the Holy Infant Jesus, Temasek Junior College and then at the National University of Singapore. She is currently senior consultant at the Dept of Emergency Medicine, Singapore General Hospital and Associate Professor at the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine and Dukes- NUS Graduate Medical School. Her other portfolios include Senior Tutor, Special Studies Module, NUS, Chairman, National Taskforce on Prehospital Care Medicine, MOH, Director of Undergraduate Training in Emergency Medicine, SGH, part-time Senior Clinical Lecturer at Nanyang Polytechnic, Senior Clinical Tutor for Masters in Nursing, MOH and NUS and many others.

Guest Performer: Neil Chua, Ruan (阮) Instrumentalist, Composer (Ruanatworkz)

Graduated from the prestigious Shanghai Conservatory of Music, Neil is the first and youngest musician of the Conservatory to receive a Master Degree in Music – Ruan (阮). Currently a permanent resident in Singapore, Neil is the Founder of Ruanatworkz Musical Arts, a non-profit Society in Singapore which promotes traditional culture, music, art and other form of traditional values. Neil is also the first musician to be invited to represent Malaysia to participate in the highly acclaimed OneBeat, which is a U.S. State Department’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs exchange programme in 2014 whereby he had the opportunity to interact, educate and promote Ruan (阮) to students and musicians from around the world in the United States of America.

Buddhist Craft Artist: Chen Jian Ping

陈建评(1983-),福建德化人,福建省工艺美术师,“中华佛教艺术名家”,中国工艺美术学会会员,现任建评陶坊艺术总监。师从福建省陶瓷艺术大师张祥琦,毕业于德化陶瓷职业技术学校,进修于集美大学工艺美术学院雕塑系、景德镇陶瓷学院雕塑艺术设计专业。博采众长,注重进修,善于借鉴宗教精神融合于艺术创作。

2014年作品《老子问天》荣获福建省第二届“闽艺杯”陶瓷艺术创意设计评比铜奖;

2015年作品《福从天降》荣获2015年北京第三十一届国际礼品及工艺品展览会工艺美术金奖,作品《自在观音》荣获工艺美术银奖;

作品《福从天降》荣获第五届福建省陶瓷艺术与设计创新评比铜奖;

作品《身在福中(欢喜福)》荣获2015中华佛教文化艺术精品展“善艺杯·天工开物奖”金奖,作品《自在观音》荣获创新奖。
